(It is the parent’s responsibility to obtain signature of your pastor on the Annual Pastoral Letter, which must be turner in with registration packet. You will be charged unsubsidized tuition until Pastoral Letter is received)

Bishop’s Scholarship Fund and OLS Scholarships are available to qualified applicants. Applications must be completed each year. Forms are available in the office when registration begins. Due date is March 15, 2024.

Payment Options

ALL FEES and TUITION will be added to your FACTS account. Those wishing to pay FEES in full may do so through their FACTS account after July 1, 2024.

  • 12 month FACTS Tuition Plan with a 1.5% Administrative Fee. (July – June)
  • 10 month FACTS Tuition Plan. (no finance fee) – (August –  May)
  • The following fees will be added to FACTS Payment: Operations Assessment, Capital Investment and Workbook Fee.
  • Payment in Full: 5% discount if paid by first week on August. Families that pay in full with credit card will be charged a 3% administrative fee.
  • Any credit card payment will incur a 3% administrative fee.

BISHOP SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATION

Click on the link below for information about the Bishop’s Scholarship Fund, which is granted through the Diocese of Lake Charles-Office of Catholic Schools.  The fund provides aide for families in need for all schools in the Diocese of Lake Charles.

SUBSIDY FORM

If you belong to a Catholic Church Parish that subsidizes school tuition. Please fill out the subsidy form and turn it in with your registration packet.

ACE SCHOLARSHIPS

The Louisiana Tuition Donation Credit Program allows qualified Louisiana children to receive scholarships to participating K-12 private schools, allowing parents to choose the school that will best prepare their children for college, careers, and for life. ACE Scholarships Louisiana is a School Tuition Organization and offers scholarships to eligible children on a first-come, first-served basis for as long as funds are available.

ARETE SCHOLARS
Through the Louisiana Tuition Donation Credit Program (TDC), Arete Scholars provides K-12 scholarships to qualified low-to-moderate-income students, empowering parents to choose the nonpublic school that will best prepare your children for college, careers, and life.

Yes, you may call the admission office and schedule a day for a visit.

OLS only offers a need-based financial aid program which can help award money to families or a portion of the tuition based on their need.

All our teachers’ are state certified and degreed.  39% or faculty and staff carry Master’s Degrees.  

Currently, the average class room size is 18

The first bell will ring at 7:40 am and end at 3:00 pm.  We can provide you with a more detailed schedule upon request.

Catholic Schools in general always far exceed the state and national average.  OLS prides itself that our students not only score above the national average but, exceed in the state level also.  OLS sets a priority on Academics and Faith Formation.

We have on staff a full time Resource teacher and through Calcasieu Parish we have a part time Speech Therapist and a Mobile Lab that provides student tutoring.

OLS was established in 1953 and our students attend Mass every Wednesday.

We currently offer sports for grades 4th – 8th grades.  Cheerleading, boys & girls basketball, football, track, And volleyball.  OLS offers a wide range of clubs and extra curricular activities including Beta, 4-H, Student Council, guardian angel Club, Library Club, Photography Club, art club, and Rosary club.

Our school is always kept secure.  The Exterior doors are monitored by a security camera at all times.  All exterior doors are kept locked for your child’s safety.  All teachers are trained in Safe Environment through the Diocese.
