OLEO Mission Statement: To foster relationships between the Catholic Church, Our Lady's School, and the community
Dear Parents, Over the next few weeks I ask that you begin considering your level of commitment to Our Lady’s School. We have a wonderful core of parents who are actively involved in making sure that our children have the facilities, equipment and guidance that they need to be successful academically and spiritually as children of God.For their efforts, I thank them, and I pray that they choose to remain active in our school community. We are blessed that they choose to share their gifts with us.They have worked countless hours within our school community and are the life blood of what we are trying to accomplish in serving the needs of our children. Central to the survival of our school is your involvement in our parent organization (OLEO.)The core of parents who make up our current OLEO board cannot bear the load themselves. We need all of our parents to become involved in making sure that the OLS community is able to sustain itself as a family environment.OLEO provides an opportunity, particularly for our newer parents to become active in our school community and to get to know many of the other families.Central to the doctrine of Catholic education is the sense of community that is spurred by programs such as this. I invite you to look over the attached sheets to gain a better understanding of what functions our OLEO board undertakes during the course of the year.If you would like to nominate someone for a position I would encourage you to do so.Additionally, I would encourage you to nominate yourself. Our OLEO board needs creative people to share their thoughts and God given gifts with our school. Please make the commitment now to help our school provide the services and ministry that are central to success of your children. On September 7th, 2010 at 6pm we will have a parent meeting for OLEO.All parents will elect members for the OLEO board at this meeting.I pray that all our parents will attend this very important event. In Christ, Trevor Donnelly Principal
